On the water
- Connect to the dock supply and hand-tighten.
- Open the water slowly and let the hose reach full length.
- Rinse with fresh water after every use in salt air.
Storage aboard
- Shut off the supply and release pressure at the nozzle.
- Let it drain and contract fully.
- Stow in a dry locker, away from direct sun.
Salt water
Salt is hard on fittings. A short fresh-water rinse after each use makes a real difference to how long the connectors last.
